Monday Wednesday Weekend
7/1 – Bike Check, First ride, easy pace. Focus on learning to shift and brake. Learn about your bikes.
@ Germania Park Trail
7/4 – Independence Day! No Practice! Go for a ride!
7/6 – 10 minute warmup. Sprints: 10 seconds, five minute cool downs. We’re shooting for a 60-90 minute session. Focus on shifting for good sprinting cadence. 7/8 – 60-90 Minutes on bike, cornering, obstacles, shifting, braking. 7/11 – Pedalling, shifting, braking. We’re going to be working on using the right gears for the right terrain.
7/13 – 15 minute warm-up. Surges: Shift up and push hard for 30 seconds, shift down and spin for 30 seconds. Repeat 5 times. 5 minute break to recover. We’ll do this 3-5 times. 7/15 – Skills practice, more shifting, cornering. 90-120 minutes 7/18 – Downhill skill focus on trail. 60-90 minutes
7/20 – Skills practice, more shifting, cornering. 90-120 minutes 7/22 – 15 Minute Warm-up. Hill surges: Strong and steady uphill effort for 90 seconds, 5 minute cool down, repeat. 7/25 – 2..5 hours. Long trail ride. 10-5-10-5 Tempo, Easy, Max Effort, Easy. Repeat 3 times. Finish with pedaling, cornering, shifting and braking exercises.
